HSE Hockey Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2025 - 2026 season
Welcome to the registration for HSE Hockey for the 2025 - 2026 season.
You will need a 2025 - 2026 USA Hockey player number for your player to complete registration.
You must register for tryouts by May 9th. Tryouts will be held on May 16th, 17th, and 18th. Exact times for when players will need to be at the rink will be sent closer to tryout weekend.
We wish all players the best of luck during the tryout process. It is our goal to provide the best opportunity for players to showcase their talents.
It is our hope to have 3 teams again, once we have numbers for tryouts we will have a better idea of how many teams we will be able to have. If we have enough registered, players will be trying out for a spot on 1 of 3 teams (HSE A, HSE B, & HSE JV)
Everyone will be assigned to a team upon arrival and given a jersey. Depending on the numbers for tryouts, the process will consist of some skills practice time and scrimmages. Rosters during tryouts can be changed if Coaches & Evaluators see the need.
REMINDER tryouts are CLOSED to the public. No parents will be allowed to watch with the exception of approved coaches, and evaluators/coordinators. Tryouts are for the players - NOT THE PARENTS.
Once tryouts have concluded you will receive a call from a member of the HSE coaching staff. You will then be sent an email link for you to register your player with their assigned team, and pay a $250 deposit. You will have 24 hours to secure your player's spot on the roster.
Within two weeks of tryouts occurring we will hold a mandatory meeting for all HSE Hockey parents. At that time we will go over expectations and guidelines for the season, answer any questions, address any concerns, and go over cost. (We aim to maintain the assessment fees similar to last season, which ranged from $3450 to $4850 based on the team.)

#1 *2025 - 2026* USA Hockey player number.
#2 Your players most recent report card. This can be found under the PORTFOLIO tab in SKYWARD. You will need to save as a PDF and then upload. Don't send a screenshot of Canvas, it has to be the official report card with the seal in the background.
